==============================================================================

What's New in Release 2.1:

The Disk Array Utility has been enhanced to include an EASY configuration
interface and supports up to 10 streams (hard drives) per logical array drive.

In addition to the previously supported Hot-Swap option, a Hot-Spare feature
has been added for automatic rebuilding to a spare drive in the case of a
drive failure under Netware and SCO Unix. Disk Array notification utilities
for Netware and SCO Unix have been enhanced with menu driven configuration and
status screens. The UltraArray-124 also supports tape and CD-ROM drives
connected to channel 0 of the controller with software support for both
Netware and SCO Unix.

IBM OS/2 2.x and WindowsNT device drivers are now included in this software
package.

Important Notes:

1. The items in this release (version 2.1), including the Firmware, BIOS,
Drivers and Utilities listed below should not be intermixed with items of
previous releases (i.e., using EZ124.EXE of version 2.20 with Firmware
version of 28400-004). Any intermixing of the items in this release set
with previous releases may yield unexpected results. In other words, the
items in this release set should be used together.

However, all previously defined logical array drive definitions are upward
compatible and are fully supported by the items in this release.

         Firmware 28400-006
         BIOS 38400-006
         EZ124.EXE Version 2.20
         DAMON.NLM Version 2.01
         U124PASS.DSK Version 1.00
         USPI_MGR.DSK Version 1.01
         U124_31X.DSK Version 2.01
         U124_40X.DSK Version 2.01
         ULTRA124.ADD Version 1.01
         ULTRA124.SYS Version 1.01
         SCO 3.2.4 BTLD Version 2.00

2. Note that the EZ124 utility displays the maximum available capacity for a
logical drive rounded to the nearest integer, and the Unix utility will
display a value truncated to the nearest integer. This means that the
capacity reported by the Unix utility may, in some cases be slightly
different from the capacity reported by the EZ124 utility.

3. DAMON.HLP is the help file used for DAMON.NLM under NetWare operating
systems. To enable the F1 key for help under DAMON.NLM, you must copy
both files to the SYS volume, \SYSTEM directory so that help file
    will be recognized.

4. In order to prevent the EZ124 utility from using spare drives when
defining logical arrays, you will want to mark them as spares in the
physical drive prep option on the Advanced menu.

5. The drives selected as Spare in the Advanced menu of the EZ124 utility
will not be used when autodefining logical array drives. If you get an
"Insufficient capacity available" message when creating array drives,
and you know there should be enough capacity, check the spare drive select
    option.
