Castelle LANpress Firmware release 7000 includes 3 binary files: PFT31.BIN For LANpress 3P/100 PFR31.BIN For LANpress 1P/100 PFM31.BIN For LANpress Jr 10Base-T This release offers the following new features: 1) HP JetAdmin Compatibility With version 7000 firmware, users can use HP JetAdmin utility to monitor and manage LANpress print servers. 2) Embedded Web Administration Capability This feature allows LANpress users to use any Internet Browser to monitor and manage LANpress print servers. Simply assign LANpress an IP address. From any Internet Browser, type http:\\LANpress_IP_Address and you should see LANpress's HTML page. To upgrade your LANpress firmware to the version 7000, please use the LANpress firmware upgrade utility - MPUPDATE.EXE. You can download the firmware binary files and the upgrade utility from the same directory where this readme file is located. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
