            Intel PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter Installation
                   for Windows 2000 Driver

To install the Intel PCI Fast Ethernet adapter and driver for use with
Windows 2000, please do the following:

Step 1: Put the software CD in the CD-ROM drive.

Step 2: Right click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop and select "Properties".

Step 3: Click the "Hardware" tab; then click the "Device Manager" button.

Step 4: Right lick "Ethernet Controller" under "Other Devices", and selectndows will install the driver for
        "Properties".
Step 5: Click the "Reinstall Driver" button.

Step 6: The Upgrade Device Driver Wizard appears. Click "Next".

Step 7: Click "Search for a suitable driver for my device", and click "Next".

Step 8: Check "Specify a location", and click "Next".

Step 9: Type in "X:\9100AX-9200AX\LAN\W2K",and Click "OK", where X is the letter of the CD-ROM drive.

Step 10: The wizard has found the driver. Click "Next".

Step 11: The "Digital Signature Not Found" window appears. Click "Yes".

Step 12: The installation is complete. Click "Finish".

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
