JETLOAD32 SOFTWARE RELEASE - JETLOAD V2.1 - 09/11/2001
======================================================

Jetload is a firmware disaster recovery program that can be used to load or reload a new version of JETSTREAM/LANSTREAM FLASH firmware after a previous attempt using NETLOAD (command) has failed. It can also be used to upgrade the firmware diagnostics.

Jetload32 is a Windows 32bit console application (no Windows user interface).
It runs on Windows NT and Windows 9X from a DOS command prompt.
This version does not run under DOS.

To use JETLOAD32 (jetload32.exe) :

1) Download or copy the required FLASH firmware file and install on a Windows PC.
All firmware images are called js85xxx.fls - where xxx is the version.release number.

2) Start a DOS command shell and cd to the directory containing the firmware and JETLOAD32.

3) Connect a JETSTREAM admin port serial cable to a COM port on the PC.

4) Start JETLOAD32 with the command :

	JETLOAD32 -COM<n> <filename>

Where <n> is the COM port number and <filename> is the firmware image file.
You may omit the -COM<n> part, in which case COM1 will be used (if available).

5) JETLOAD32 will scan COM port for a firmware upgrade request. Switch on the JETSTREAM (or off and then on if already switched on).
The firmware will be transmitted to the JETSTREAM and written to FLASH.

6) Wait for the process to complete (about 5 minutes), switch the unit off.

7) Done

JETLOAD version 1.0 runs under MS-DOS only, if you only have access to MS-DOS you may use JETLOAD version 1.0 ( jetload.exe ).
