Caution before use PS driver
Mac To use the DD filing function, please keep running the utility software [PFPD User
Information Chooser US] after setting the Owner Information.
Mac The DD code is located in the top left corner when choosing landscape
printing.
Mac The LaserWriter 8.4.3 can not customize paper sizes correctly.
Please use the LaserWriter 8.5.1 instead of 8.4.3.
Mac MSWord may not print correctly in case of mismatching between [Paper size] in the
[Page set up]>[Page Attributes] and [Custom Page Sizes] in the [Page set up] when using
LaserWriter 8.5.1 with Custom size.
Mac Please select [FaceDown] when using staple function with two(2) bin finisher.
Mac The Windows font with @ may not print properly when using the application data on Mac
environment.
Mac Please do not select [N in 1] and [Zoom] at same time. The PostScript error will occur.
Mac The duplex unit counts as cassette [1]. Please select the [Number of Drawers] as actual
drawers plus one.
Mac The Customized paper size is only available 100% ratio print.
Mac Please delete [PFPD*.*] before updating PPD file. The [PFPD*.*] file is located at
[System Folder]>[Preferences]>[Printing Prefs]>[Parsed PPD Folder].
Mac Please select opposite icon versus actual binding direction when printing landscape
direction with LaserWriter 8.4.3 and 8.5.1.
Mac The data file format can be set to an application. Please match the format with printer
protocol setting.
Mac The cover page can not print as Japanese.
Mac The overlay will print only 100% ratio, when the opposite orientation is selected.
Windows MSExcel may divide the print job when selecting [Entire Book]. The staple, punch,
duplex, DD filing, N in 1 and Booklet may not print properly.
Windows Please select [Time out setting] of parallel port as [0] if print job stops in the middle of run or the image cuts off with parallel connection.
Windows Lotus AmiPro can only use with Windows 3.x.
Windows The PPD file is necessary when printing from PageMaker.
Please use General PPD file that comes with PageMaker, however the unique function will
not be available.
WinNT Please [Login] with authorized user name such as [PowerUsers] or [Administrators] when
[DD filing], [Security Print] or [Image Overlay registration] setting required.
Mac /Windows Please close all applications before changing the printer property setting.
Mac /Windows Please ensure [Collate] function is not checked when Sort, N in 1 and/or Booklet
is selected.
Mac /Windows Non defined character will print out as [?] when using the printer font.
Mac /Windows Please uncheck the [Use printer font] if PostScript error appears with PDF file
printing from Acrobat Reader.
Mac /Windows If character prints with overlapped image, please select the [Always use True
type fonts] in the [Font] tag.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
