SCVF288/DUAL FIRMWARE (7.0.0.0) REV A- RELEASE NOTES:

This is a new release of modem code for the SpectraComm V.F28.8 (SC25 & SC35) & SpectraComm Dual(DUAL) modems only. This release (7.0.0.0) is required to support the new RADIUS Feature. This (Radius)feature must be ordered and enabled by the factory.

The DLVFAST checksums are as follows:  

DC25.DL          5340 
DC35.DL          BEC8 
DUAL.DL          B0B6 

DOWNLOAD PROCEDURE:

1. Create a new sub-directory and copy the self-extracting file DL7000.EXE into it. Type DL7000 to extract all files (SC25.DL, SC35.DL, DUAL.DL, DLVFAST.EXE, and readme.txt).
   
2. Connect the modem to the PC's COM1 or COM2 port.  (Note: to download a SpectraComm DUAL modem a Dual DTE Adapter (GDC Part Number 010P165-001 or 028H619-X06) is required to access both modem channels and you have to download the code to each channel.)

3. Type, DLVFAST -c1 -l -o to start download. (-c2 if COM2 is used), (-l is a lower case L).
   Note: Typing DLVFAST ? will display a help screen.

4. If it's a Dual Modem Connect the COM port to the other modem channel and repeat step 3.

5) Reset the modem card by either of these methods:

	- Remove the card from the shelf and re-insert it.
	- Use the Soft Reset function on the Maintenance screen of the TEAM
        Modem Management Application.
	- Power cycle the SpectraComm shelf


CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS RELEASE:

* Online Passwords are upper case only.

* Online Password prompt changed from Enter Password to Enter Cell Password.

* %S2 will select Radius Security if RADIUS Feature of Modem was purchased and      SCM supports it, otherwise it selects Online Security.

* The AT I4 command will show "SEC" under product code (instead of 288) if the RADIUS FEATURE was purchased.
