PROCEDURE:

1. Download the file Q2V90-UP.EXE into A directory on your PC 
   called Q2V90-UP. This is a self-extraxting executable that
   will extract all the files into the same directory, execute
   this file. Verify that all 9 files have been extracted.

2. To update your modem code you must shut down Windows and be
   in DOS mode (Windows must not be running, restart in DOS 
   mode if running Win 95/98). From the DOS prompt, change to 
   the Q2V90-UP directory, type Q2V90C1 if your modem is on COM
   1 or Q2V90C2 if your modem is on COM 2.
   
3. The Download will begin and status will be logged to the 
   screen. (Caution do not power off modem or PC while
   downloading your modem.)

4. Wait until the "Download Successful" message is displayed and
   you are at the dos prompt. Verify that the checksum is now
   0B36. Type exit to restart Win 95/98.

5. If you are running WIN 95,98 or NT4.0 you now must install
   the new modem INF file (modem driver for the quester2/3 
   V90). Read the Q2V90INF.TXT file and follow it carefully to
   install the new modem driver.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
