Driver Disk Usage Notes

1. Under linux use the following command to make a driver disk
	dd if=<image_name> of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k

2. System can be installed to SATA disks by using this driver disk.

3. On systems which use IDE, SATA support can be added, by mounting the
driver disk and running the install.sh script.

4. When kernel updates are applied to a system, running the install.sh
script will add SATA driver support to the newly installed kernel.
Please run the script BEFORE the new kernel is installed.

5. If a non-standard kernel is built, please use the source code
patch.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
