Samsung PCI Packet Driver Installation Guide for FTP ==================================================== This document describes how to install Samsung PCI driver for FTP from FTP Software. 1. The installation of the FTP package is straight-forward except the values for 'Subnet Mask'. It is recommanded by FTP's tech support to use 255.255.0.0. 2. Make a directory on C, for example: SECPKT. 3. Copy all files from floppy to C. 4. In autoexec.bat, add the line 'set pctcp=c:\pctcp\pctcp.ini'. 5. The packet driver command line must be with parameter pkt.ini. For example: sec100pkt /f=c:\secpkt\pkt.ini Assume SECPKT is the directory where this driver is copied. 6. Following is keywords description, RX_BUFFERS -- Number of receive buffer in 256 bytes. Valid range from 32 to 128 with 64 (meaning 16K of rx buffer) as the default. LINE_SPEED -- Line speed selection. Can be either 10 or 100. If this keyword is absent, Autonegotiation mode is used. TX_THRESHOLD -- Transmit threshold. Valid range from 0 to 1500 with 1500 as the default. NODE_ADDRESS -- Node ID override. If this keyword is absent, driver will use the one in the serial eeprom.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
