Samsung PCI NDIS 2 Driver Installation Guide for Windows for Workgroups 3.11 ============================================================================ This document describes how to install Samsung PCI driver for Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.11. 1. Start Windows for Workgroups. 2. From the Program Manager, double-click the "Network" group icon. 3. Double-click the "Network Setup" icon. 4. Click the "Networks..." button from the "Network Setup" window. 5. Select "Install Microsoft Windows Network" radio button. 6. Click the radio button for "No Additional network". 7. Click the OK button or press Enter to get back to "Network Setup" window 8. Click the "Drivers..." button. 9. Click the "Add Adapter..." button. 10. Select "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter" from the "Add Network Adapter" window. 11. Click the OK button. The "Install Driver" window appears. 12. Insert the Samsung PCI Adapter Driver Disk into drive A. 13. Type the following in the text box: A:\MICROSOF\WFW311 or A:\IBM\DOS The text A:\ may already be provided for you. 14. Click the OK button or press Enter. The "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter" window appears and Samsung 100/10Mbps PCI Ethernet Adapter is listed in the window. 15. Click the OK button to get back to the "Network Drivers" window. 16. Click the Close button to get back to "Network Setup" window. 17. Click the OK button to enter your User name, Workgroup and computer name. 18. Click the OK button and Yes To All button on the Windows Setup window. 19. The Install Driver window reappears and asks you to insert Windows for Workgroups disk 7 then Windows for Workgroups disk 8 and then Samsung PCI Network Driver Disk. 20. A message window appears stating that Network Setup has modified CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT and SYSTEM.INI files. 21. Quit from Windows and then restart the computer. NOTE: ==== This note describes how to select the Connection Type for the Samsung PCI. 1. Open "Network" group icon 2. Open "Network Setup" icon 3. Select "Drivers..." 4. Select "Setup..." will come up with another window with 3 options: keyword stands for range default LINE_SPEED Line speed (100/10Mbps) AUTO,10,100 AUTO RX_BUFFERS Number of Receive buffers 32 - 128 64 256-byte each. TX_THRESHOLD Transmit threshold 0 - 1500 1500 NODE_ADDRESS keyword is also supported in PROTOCOL.INI. If you want to use this keyword, please modify PROTOCOL.INI in Windows directory using the example provided.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
