If NetMate or NetMate2 is being installed on Windows 98 or 98SE based
systems, use the setup.exe provided in the diskette and follow the
instructions as they are prompted.

If NetMate or Netmate2 is being installed on Windows 2000 or later releases
follow the instructions below.
***************************************************************************

1) Insert the CATC driver floppy into your computer's floppy drive.

2) If NetMate2 is already attached to the USB port, disconnect.
Then, reconnect the Netmate2 USB Device to one of the USB ports in
your computer. As soon as the USB cable is plugged into
the device you should see a pop-up message saying

        Found New Hardware

        NetMate 2 Ethernet Adaptor
(May also say "Netmate Ethernet Adaptor" for Netmate)

        Installing...

3) In the window "Found New Hardware Wizard" it should say

"Welcome to Found New Hardware Wizard"

Go ahead and click Next to continue.

4) The "Found New Hardware Wizard" should now say

        "Install Hardware Device Drivers"

When "Found New Hardware Wizard" asks

"What do you want the wizard to do?"

By default it should have selected "Search for a suitable driver for
my device (recommended)". If not already selected then click on it.
   Click on Next to continue.

5) When asked for "Optional search locations:"

Select "Specify a location" to pick the driver from floppy. Click on Next.

6) In box "Copy manufacturer's files from", type in the directory "a:\win98&2k".
   Click on OK.

This will make the install wizard read the floppy.

NOTE: The Windows 98 and Windows 2000 drivers are exactly the same.

7) It should then say "Windows found a driver for this device. To install
the driver Windows found, click Next.

	a:\Win98&2k\netmate.inf

   Click Next to continue.

8) It should popup a message saying "Copying Files". This probably will go by
   very quickly.

9) Finally it should say "Windows has finished installing the software for this
device". To close this wizard, click Finish. Go ahead and click on finish.

10) You should see the LED on the Netmate lit.

If the LED is lit with no blinks then you have a good network
	physical connection.

If the LED is blinking you need to connect a ethernet cable to the
device and the other end to a ethernet hub/switch/computer/phone line/TV cable etc.

11) You may have to install Network protocols like TCP/IP to attach to other computers
    on the network.
