Windows 95 modem .INF files 1. The two files NODRIVER.INF and CYBERMDM.INF should be placed on a blank, formatted Disk. 2. Go to your control panel, Device manager and delete whatever widows defaulted your modem to. (Sierra Wave Fax modem, etc) 3. from the Device manager, Refresh the list. 4. Windows will detect your modem and ask you to use a device driver and you will need to select the "disk provided by modem mfg". 5. scroll down list to "Prometheus" and select the apropriate modem ie CyberStereo 144, CyberPort 28.8 etc. 6. Restart and make sure you check the port settings for the newly installed modem because windows may have changed the PnP settings, and you will need to match these settings in whatever you may have been using the modem for. ie CyberWorks, Dial up networking, terminal and bbs software. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
