MULOADER.EXE features a user-friendly menu. It also features prompts to
ensure the user is prompted before any changes will be made to the system
BIOS. To ensure a successful microcode update load is complete, the
utility locks up the system and instructs the user to perform a cold reboot
of the system. The following command line options are available to allow
MULOADER.EXE to bypass any of the above features to allow automated execution
from within a batch file. General syntax is "MULOADER -[flag]".
m Causes the main menu to be bypassed. Prompts are still
available to confirm any permanent or temporary loading of
microcode updates into BIOS. The system still locks up to force
COLD reboot after successful update load.
f Forces no user input. Same as -m but also bypasses any confirmation
prompts and does not lock up the system or display the COLD boot
requirement message. Instead, control is returned to DOS.
p Specifies on the command line a specific microcode update
database file (*.pdb). The syntax is "MULOADER -P PEP5.PDB"
where PEP5.PDB is the database file.
d Invokes debug mode. This allows for some special messages to be
written to the STATUS.LOG file and to the screen.
So a typical batch file syntax to force no user input and use a specific PDB
file would be:
MULOADER -f -p PEP5.PDB
or
MULOADER -p PEP5.PDB -f
