Initio INI-9XXXU/UW Device Driver (V2.01) for DOS ------------------------------------------------- 1. Overview Under the Microsoft DOS operating System, the INI-9XXXU/UW host adapter BIOS will provide the necessary functions to support SCSI hard disks. The BIOS supports up to two hard disk drives for DOS 4.01 and below. It supports more than two (up to eight) hard disk drives for DOS 5.0 and above. You don't have to install a device driver to access the hard disk. However you need to install ASPI(Advance SCSI Programming Interface) device driver to support other SCSI devices such as CDROMs, Tape drives, or Scanners. The DOSSETUP utility will install the Initio ASPI device driver (ASPI910U.SYS) for DOS 3.3.1 or later. It will also optionally install the Corel SCSI CD-ROM device driver(CUNI_ASPI.SYS & CRLSCSI.INI), windows 3.1X 32-bit fastdisk device driver (I91CTRL.386) and Initio ASPI for windows device driver (WINASPI.DLL). 2. Installation Procedures 1. Insert the diskette into your floppy drive. 2. Change to the drive letter that contains the diskette. (e.g., C:>A:) 3. Type DOSSETUP. A:>DOSSETUP 3. Driver Command Line Options The standard format for command line in the CONFIG.SYS file is: DEVICE=C:\INIASPI\ASPI910U.SYS [Driver Config Option] Driver Config Options: /D Verbose mode provides detail information about driver when driver is inititalized /L Drvier scan eight LUNs for each SCSI Target. /Bx,yy Scan device only on PCI BUS x, DEVICE yy The range for "x" is from 0 to 7. The range for "yy" is from 0 to 20. /CCBSx defines the maximum number of concurrent I/Os that driver supports. The range for "x" is from 1 to 16. 4. About CRLSCSI.INI CRLSCSI.INI contains the current settings for Corel SCSI CD-ROM Device Driver. * AUTOSCAN indicates whether the device driver automatically scans for devices when loading. * DEVICE displays the SCSI ID, LUN, host adapter, and device type for an included device. * DISABLEMULTI indicates whether you can use multi session CDs. * DISABLEXA indicates whether you can use Photo CDs. * EXCLUDE displays the SCSI ID, LUN, and host adapter of an excluded device. * NUMDEVICES displays the number of devices that the device driver includes. * NUMEXCLUDE displays the number of devices that the device driver is excluding. * PAUSE indicates whether the device driver pauses after loading. * SETVOLUME indicates whether you've set the volume level for audio output. * TIMEOUT displays the time out value, by default 15 seconds, for SCSI commands. For example, if an attempt to access a CD ROM drive exceeds 15 seconds, an error message is displayed. * USEEMS indicates whether the device driver is loaded in EMS. * VERBOSE defines whether the screen displays information as the device driver is loading. * VOLUME displays the volume level for audio CDs.Download Driver Pack
