Please plug 32-Bit CardBus Fast Ethernet PC Card into CardBus (PCMCIA) socket. After WinME starts up, it can recognize and install the driver to this PC Card automatically. However, you may still follow the instructions below to update the most recent driver or configure the PC Card. B) Updating NDIS5 Miniport driver on Microsoft Windows ME ======================================================= 1. Click the "My Computer" icon in the Main Program Group. 2. Click the "Control Panel" icon from My Computer window. 3. Click the "System" icon from the Control Panel window. 4. Click "Device Manager"button from the System window. 5. Select"Network adapters"item from "Device Manager"dialog box,then double-click "Realtek RTL8139(A) PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter" 6. Select "Driver" item,then click "Update Driver"button. 7. Select "Specify the location of the driver" item,then click "Next" button. 8. Key in "A:\WINME" at the "specify a location" box,then click "Next" button. 9. Select "32-Bit CardBus Fast Ethernet PC Card" item,then click "Next" button. 10. Restart your computer to take effect the new configuration. C) Configuring NDIS5 Miniport driver on Microsoft Windows ME ========================================================== 1. Click the "My Computer" icon in the Main Program Group. 2. Click the "Control Panel" icon from My Computer window. 3. Click the "Network" icon from the Control Panel window. 4. Select "32-Bit CardBus Fast Ethernet PC Card" item from "Network" dialog box, then click "Properties" button. 5. Click "Advanced" button from "32-Bit CardBus Fast Ethernet PC Card" "Properties" dialog box. 6. Select the Line Speed/Duplex Mode (Auto,100 full,100 half,10 full, 10half) from "Value" item, then click OK button in the "32-Bit CardBus Fast Ethernet PC Card", "Properties" dialog box. 7. Click OK button from "Network" dialog box. 8. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
