TRACKPOINT DRIVER INSTALLATION FOR STANDARD HARDWARE SYSTEMS

On systems with standard (no multiport) hardware, the Win9x, Windows ME and
NT 4.0 TrackPoint Driver can be directly installed from the root (\) directory.
The Windows 2000 TrackPoint Driver can be directly installed from
the \win2k directory.

CREATING TRACKPOINT DRIVER INSTALLATION KITS FOR MULTIPORT HARDWARE SYSTEMS

If you have multiport hardware support on your system you need to
add the multiport support files to the files contained in the standard
drivers, then the driver kit will be multiport ready.

For example, assume the original TrackPoint driver kit is on the
a: floppy. The following commands create a TrackPoint driver kit
that is multiport ready.

rem Create the multiport trackpoint driver kit for Win9x, Windows ME and NT 4.0
mkdir c:\tp4kit_win9x_nt4
copy a:\win9xnt4\*.* c:\tp4kit_win9xnt4
copy a:\win9xnt4\multiprt\*.* c:\tp4kit_win9xnt4

rem Create the multiport trackpoint driver kit for Windows 2000
mkdir c:\tp4kit_win2k
copy a:\win2k\*.* c:\tp4kit_win2k
copy a:\win2k\multiprt\*.* c:\tp4kit_win2k
