Winflash is the BIOS flashing utility running in Windows with a Graphical User Interface.
It allows to read current BIOS image from flash eprom and to update it with a new image.

Bug fixing and Source code reorganisation and optimization.
(Added support to program multiple Non-critical blocks through command line options (Similar to AFU). This option is made hidden for winflash).

BIOS Requirements
Winflash requires that the input BIOS image files to be an AMIBIOS ROM file (Core version 7.xx or 8.xx).
It also requires that the current installed BIOS has SMI flashing support enabled in BIOS.

The BIOS ROM file can be loaded from or saved to any storage location.

OS: Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP

You must keep the program winflash.exe and the drivers amifldrv.vxd (95/98/ME) and 
amifldrv.sys (NT/2000/XP) in the same directory.

How to run the utility under NT 4.0 / 2000 / XP

1. Copy the file AMIFLDRV.SYS and WINFLASH.EXE to a directory
2. Run WINFLASH.EXE

How to run the utility under 95 / 98 / ME
-------------------------------------------
1. Copy the file AMIFLDRV.VXD and WINFLASH.EXE to a directory
2. Run WINFLASH.EXE

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
