Installing the driver for a new Bridge or Appliance
---------------------------------------------------

1)  Unzip the driver, AttoGenericDriver.inf, onto a floppy or to a local directory 
    on your hard drive.
2)  Windows will automatically detect the ATTO product and ask the user for
    the driver.  Specify the floppy drive or the location of the driver.
3)  Follow the remaining instructions to complete the installation procedure.


Installing the driver when a Bridge or Appliance has been installed already
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

1)  Unzip the driver, AttoGenericDriver.inf, onto a floppy or to a local directory 
    on your hard drive.
2)  Go to the Device Manager.  The Device Manager can be found by right clicking the
    "My Computer" icon, and selecting Manage.
3)  Under Other Devices, there should be an entry for the ATTO product.
4)  Right-click the ATTO product and select Properties.
5)  Select the Update Driver button.
6)  Windows will ask for the location of the driver.  Specify the floppy drive or the 
    location of the driver.
7)  Follow the remaining instructions to complete the installation procedure.


After the driver is installed, under Device Manager, the ATTO product entry will 
be located under System Devices.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
