NVRAM Initialization ----- -------------- The NVRAM.EXE program is provided to allow the user to initialize all adapter parameters to default values without having to run the configuration utilities and manually set each parameter. The program has the following command format: NVRAM [-d|-e|-u] [-c ChannelNumber] [Filename] where: -d Selects dump mode; -e Selects erase mode; -u Selects update mode; -c Dump/update/erase the specified channel, default update/erase all, dump first; and Filename Pathname of file to load NVRAM from or save NVRAM to (optional for update mode). For example, to reset all parameters for all boards, use the following command: NVRAM -U This program will set all of the adapter parameters to default values. You will have to run the "config.com" program to set up any special parameter values. The program displays a list of all adapters in the system which have a Symbios chip as the SCSI processor. The list will identify which adapters will be controlled by the ExpressPCI driver. The channel number to the left of each adapter is the channel number to use in the command line when only specific adapters are to be updated. This program can change the NVRAM settings on the adapters that are not controlled by ExpressPCI. This may alter settings that you have made on those adapters that are different than the defaults. CUSTOM SETTINGS The program can be used to save a custom set of parameters to a file with the '-d' switch. The adapter can be reset to the custom settings by updating with the custom file. The following is an example of the commands required to perform this custom setup. 1. Adapter reset to defaults. NVRAM -U 2. Custom settings made CONFIG 3. Save custom settings NVRAM -D 'custom filename' 4. Reset custom settings at later time NVRAM -U 'custom filename'Download Driver Pack
