In order for the scanner to function optimally, interrupts need to be enabled on the parallel port on your system. The following procedure will show you how to do this. 1.) Select and right click on "My Computer". 2.) Select "Properties" 3.) Select "Hardware" 4.) Under Device Manager, select the "Device Manager Button" 5.) Select the "+" to expand the "Ports (COM & LPT) group 6.) Select and right click on "Printer Port" 7.) Select "Properties" 8.) Select the "Port Settings" tab 9.) In the "Filter Resource Method," select the radio button "Use any interrupt assigned to the port." 10.) Select "OK" 11.) A window stating, "Your hardware settings have changed. You must restart your computer for these changes to take effect. Do you want to restart your computer?" Select "Yes"Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
