                      NETGEAR EA201 Ethernet Card
                      ---------------------------
Driver Installation for SCO UNIX V.3.2.4X (TCP/IP v1.2X)
           --------------------------------------------------------

  Getting Started
  ---------------
The necessary files for driver installation for SCO UNIX are stored
in a self-extracting compressed format. The EA201 SCO UNIX driver
and the related files need to be extracted prior to driver installation.

If desired, the duplex mode of the EA201 adapter card can also be
modified using the included SETUP.EXE program in the root directory.
For more detail, please refer to the SETUP.TXT file in the \HELP
  directory.

  Installation Procedure
  ----------------------
  1. Copy the compressed file SCO.EXE from the \SCO directory of the
driver diskette into your hard disk. Please insert a empty
floppy diskette and mkdir \SCOUNIX sub-directory. Execute SCO.EXE
at MS-DOS prompt to extract the drivers. The SCO UNIX driver and
the necessary files are stored in the \SCOUNIX sub-directory.

      EX. A:\SCOUNIX>C:\<path>\SCO.EXE
(<path> is the target path where ths SCO.EXE store in.)

Single Card Installation (see below for multiple card installation)
  -------------------------------------------------------------------
  1. Login to the network as root. (On maintenance mode)

  2. Insert the driver diskette in Drive A and use the "doscp" command
to copy the SCOUNIX Driver into the UNIX directory.
      For example:

        # cd /
        # doscp a:/scounix/setup setup
          (or # doscp b:/scounix/setup setup)
        # chmod +x /setup
        # ./setup a:/scounix
          (or # ./setup b:/scounix)

  3. Add a chain by executing the "netconfig" command. For example:

        #netconfig

  4. A menu similar to the following appears on the screen:

        1) Add a chain
        2) Remove a chain
        3) Reconfigure an element in a chain
        q) Quit

  5. Select option 1 "Add a chain". The following prompt appears:

Select top level of chain to Add or q to quit:

  6. Select "sco_tcp" for SCO TCP/IP for UNIX. The following message
      appears:

Select next level of chain to Add or q to quit:

  7. Select "d22e0". This value varies according to your card number.
      The following prompt appears:

        Add chain sco_tcp->d22e0 (y/n):

  8. Type "y" for yes. The following message appears:

        Enter number of media mode selection (0 1 2 3 4) [3]
        or 'q' to quit:

           -NOTE:------------------------------------------
          | 0. Twisted pair connection. |
          | 1. BNC connection. |

  9. Type in the media mode number. The following message appears:

Enter the internet address of this interface:

  10. Specify the internet address (IP address) of the interface. The
      following message appears:

Enter the netmask for this interface:

  11. Specify the subnet mask for the interface. Please consult the
system administrator if it is unknown. The Default mask is
      255.255.255.0. The following message appears:

Does the interface use a broadcast address of all 1's (y/n):

  12. Answer this question accordingly. The default value is "y". The
      following message appears:

Enter the broadcast address for this interface:

  13. Type in the broadcast address for the interface. The following
      message appears:

Are these values correct ? (y/n)

  14. If all values are correct, type "y". Otherwise, answer "n" and
repeat the process. The following message appears:

XX Pseudo ttys are currently configured, do you want to:

          1) Add Pseudo ttys
          2) Remove Pseudo ttys
Select an option or enter q to quit [q]

Notes on installing multiple cards in a system
  ----------------------------------------------
  1. This installation procedure applies to SCO UNIX LLI drivers
      with TCP/IP v.1.2x.

  2. Follow the same procedure above to add more cards to the computer.
Please consult the manuals for further information.

  3. Up to four EA201 Ethernet adapter can be installed in to a
workstation. The following are sample combinations:

        EA201 *4
        any combination of 4

  4. Support gateway function (that is; routing function).

  5. Statistical information can be retrieved via the "netstat -i"
command. Executing this command displays a screen similar to the
      following:

Name Mtu Network Address Ipkts Ierrs Opkts Oerrs Collis
