Description: 1. NE34ND.SYS is a NDIS 3.x driver for Windows NT 4.0 Platforms. If there is only one NE-34 PCI Adapter, the driver will automatically get IOBASE and IRQ from PCI Configuration Space. If there is more than one NE-34 PCI Adapters , user can indicate a specified NE-34 PCI card by inputing IDs. 2. OEMSETUP.INF is a Network Setup Information File for Windows NT 4.0 Platforms. Installation: 1. Load NE34ND.SYS and OEMSETUP.INF files into local hard disk. 2. Double-click the 'Control Panel' icon in the 'My Computer' Group. 3. Double-click the 'Network' icon from the 'Control Panel' Window. 4. Click the 'Adapter' button in the 'Network Settings' Dialog Box. Then choose 'Add ...' button. 5. When the 'Select Network Adapter' Dialog Box appears, select the 'Have Disk' button. 6. Type the path that contains then NE34ND.SYS and OEMSETUP.INF files and then press <Enter>. 7. Select the 'NE-34 PCI Adapter' item in the 'Network Adapters' Dialog Box and then click the 'Close' button. 8. If there is only one NE-34 PCI adapter in your system , click the 'Ignore' button when the 'Input Ethernet ID' Dialog Box appears. Otherwise, type Ethernet IDs when the 'Input Ethernet ID' Dialog Box appears and then click the 'OK' button. 9. Bind the adapter to the transport drivers by choosing the 'Binding' button in the 'Network Settings' Dialog Box. 10.When you finish the installation procedure, click the 'OK' button. 11.The SETUP program has already copied the files NE34ND.SYS and OEMSETUP.INF to the c:\winnt40\system32\drivers directory , but OEMSETUP.INF has been renamed as another installation information file. 12.Restart your computer. Trouble Shooting 1. Message----> At least one service or driver failed during system startup. Use Event Viewer to examine the event log for details. Solution---> Make sure your NE-34 PCI card is plugged into your system or, if there exists more than one NE-34 PCI adapters , you should indicate each NE-34 card by specifying an ID. 2. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
