Windows 95 NeoMagic Video Driver Installation

The following instructions tell how to install the Video driver 
for your computer.

Note:  If you a have a printer connected to your computer, you can 
print these instructions from Notepad by clicking on File on the 
menu bar and then click on print.


1.  Place the Digital System CD in the CD drive.

2.  Click on the Start button located on the Windows 95 Taskbar.

3.  Select settings and click on Control Panel.

4.  In Control Panel, double-click on the Display icon.

5.  Click on the Settings tab in the Display Properties dialog box.

6.  Click on Advanced Properties.

7.  Click on Change.

8.  Click on Have Disk.
	a.  Click on Browse:
		1)  Under Drives, Select the CD Drive.
		2)  Under Folders, double-click on drivers and then 
                    Win95 and then video.
		3)  Click on OK.
	b.  Click on OK.

9.  Click on OK.

10. Click on Apply.

Note:  When reinstalling the video driver, you may have two 
       selections from which to pick.  Select the one with the
       most current date.  For example: 

             NeoMagic MagicGraph 128ZV (2-6-1997)

11. Click on OK.

12. Click on Close.

13. Click on Yes to pick a monitor.

14. Select Laptop Display Model (800 x 600) and then click on OK.

15. Set the display Color palette to High color (16 bit).

16. Set the Desktop area to 800 x 600 pixels.

17. Click on OK.

18. Click on Yes when asked to Restart the computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
