Date: September 23, 1996 Subject: Install CDROM driver from MS-DOS 6.22 or WFW 3.11 The installation will cover 3 steps: Step 1: Create one directory under C:\ called "tsy" Copy 1 file "tsycdrom.sys from A:\cdrom to C:\tsy The system will use the file "mscdex.exe" of the MS-DOS 6.22; However, if a user wants to use the provided file "mscdex.exe" under A:\cdrom directory of the system disk, the user can modify one line of the file "autoexec.bat" to "C:\tsy\mscdex.exe /D:tsyd1" and copy the provided file "mscdex.exe" to c:\tsy directory. Step 2: Edit "autoexec.bat"under C:\ by adding one line C:\dos\mscdex.exe /D:tsycd1 Step 3: Edit "config.sys" under C:\ by adding one line DEVICE=C:\tsy\tsycdrom.sys /D:tsycd1 How to install CD-ROM driver: Insert a diskette called "system disk" in the floppy drive From A:\, go to sub-directory CDROM by typing "cd cdrom" From A:\cdrom\, type in "install" Follows instructions from a screen to install CD-ROM driver Reboot the system to register new changes, the system will recognize CD-ROM.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
