You can reach Compaq's automated support services 24 hours a day, 
every day at no charge. The services contain the most up-to-date 
information about Compaq Networking products. Use these free, automated

To use the fax-on-demand system, you must be in North America and you
must have a fax machine or fax modem to receive the automated fax
transmittals. To use the fax-based information retrieval system that
provides product-specific information, call 1-800-345-1518, option 1,
and request a product catalog. When you receive it, call and order
documents you wish to receive.

You need to be at your computer with your software running and the product
documentation at hand.

The technician may ask for the following:

· -Your address and telephone number
· -The name and model number of the Compaq product you are calling 
   about
· -The serial number of your Compaq product
· -The names and version numbers of the software you are using to
   operate the Compaq product
· -The name and version number of the operating system you are using
· -The system type (manufacturer and model number )
· -Expansion boards or add-in cards in your computer
· -The amount of memory in your computer

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
