Identification ============== If the drivers were previously installed, the modem will be identified under the Phone and Modem Options or the Device Manager as Intel(r) 537EP Data Fax Modem. Installation ============ The file 9526568.exe is a self-extracting file that creates a C:\Cabs\9526568 directory on the C: drive and extracts files into that directory. For both Windows 2000 and Windows XP: 1. From the Start menu, click Run. 2. In the Run dialog box, type the path and location of the file 9526568.exe (Example: C:\Cabs\9526568.exe). Click OK. The files extract to the C:\Cabs\9526568 directory. 3. From the Start menu, click Run. 4. In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9526568\Setup. Note: The path for the modem setup file will be different if the files were extracted into any directory other than specified in the previous procedures. 5. Click OK. 6. In the One Step Installer Modem Driver Installation dialog box, click OK. 7. In the One Step Installer Installation finished dialog box, click OK. 8. The modem has been installed and is available in the Modem Properties of the Control Panel. Removal ======== The modem drivers can be removed by using the Add or Remove Programs function for both Windows 2000 and Windows XP. 1. From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs. 3. In the Add or Remove Programs window, click Intel(r) 537EP Data Fax Modem, and then click Change/Remove. Troubleshooting =============== If you have difficulty installing the new driver, download the file again, and then perform the installation steps. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
