1. Introduction:

   This Ethernet NDIS driver supports Microsoft Windows 95 environment.


2. Contents of the Subdirectory:

      RPCI.SYS	      The driver for Windows 95.

      RPCI.DOS	      The NDIS2 driver.

      RPCI.COM	      The ODI driver.

      NETRPCI.INF     An information file for installing the driver
		      for Windows 95.

3. Installation:

   * Method 1

     1) Install your Turbo PCI Ethernet Card on your PC system following
	the procedure described in your installation manual.

     2) Power up your PC to start Windows 95.

     3) When the "New Hardware Found" panel appears, select "Driver
	from disk provided by hardware manufacturer" to install the
	Win 95 driver from our Ethernet Driver Disk.

     4) When the "Install from Disk" panel appears, insert our Ethernet
	Driver Disk to any floppy on your system. Then specify the path
	where the driver exists, and select OK.

     5) When the driver installation is completed, restart Windows 95.

     6) When the driver installation is completed, check if the network
	component "File and printer sharing for Microsoft Network" is
	installed.  If not, do the following to add it.

	This is to ensure other users on the network can connect to you.

	a) Click the "Network" icon in the Control Panel.

	b) Click the "Add" button in the Network panel.

	c) From the panel that can let you click the type of network
	   component you want to install, choose "Sevice".

	d) When the "Select Network Service" panel appears, choose
	   "Microsoft" as the manufacturer and "File and printer sharing
	   for Microsoft Network" as the network services, then click
	   the OK button.

	e) Restart Windows 95.


   * Method 2

     1) Install your Turbo PCI Ethernet Card on your PC system following
	the procedure described in your installation manual.

     2) Power up your PC to start Windows 95.  Double-click the "Network"
	from Control Panel.

     3) When Network panel comes up, click the "Add" button.  The "Select
	Network Component Type" panel box is displayed.

     4) Select the "Adapter" button to enter the "Select Network Adapters"
	panel and click the "Have Disk" button.

     5) Specify the path where the driver exists in the "Install From Disk"
	panel; i. e., A:\WIN95 or B:\WIN95.

     6) If the driver installation succeeds, "RPCI Ethernet" will appear
	in the Model field of the Selected Network Adapter panel.  Click
	the OK button to continue the installation.

     7) When the driver installation is completed, check if the network
	component "File and printer sharing for Microsoft Network" is
	installed.  If not, do the following to add it.

	This is to ensure other users on the network can connect to you.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
