  Copy contents of 'HF000X' archive to folder 'C:\ARCHIVE\DIAMOND'

3. Driver installation

  Click right mouse button on 'My Comuter' desktop icon
   Select 'Properties'
    Select 'Hardware'
     Choose 'Device manager'
      Click right mouse button on 'Network Controller'
       Select 'Update Driver...'
        Enable 'No, not this time'
         Choose 'Next'
          Enable 'Install from a list or...'
           Choose 'Next'
            Enable 'Don't search. I will choose...
             Choose 'Next'
              Select 'Network Adapters'
               Choose 'Next'
                Select 'Have Disk'
                 Browse to 'C:\ARCHIVE\DIAMOND'
                  Select 'Open'
                   Choose 'OK'
                  Choose 'Next'
                 Confirm 'Continue anyway'
                Press 'Finish'
               Close 'Device Manager'
              Close 'System Properties'

4. Network configuration

  Click right mouse button on desktop icon 'My Network Places'
   Choose 'Properties'
    Click right mouse button on 'Local Area Connection' (Diamond...)
     Choose 'Properties'
      Highlight 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)'
       Choose 'Properties'
        Enable 'Use the following IP address'
         Enter 'IP Address:', '192.168.000.002'
         Enter 'Subnet Mask:', '255,255,255,000'
         Skip 'Default Gateway'
        Press 'OK'
       Enable 'Show icon in notification area...'
      Press 'OK'
     Select 'Advanced'
      Choose 'Network Identification'
       Enter 'Computer Description:', 'MYNETWORK'
      Press 'Change'
       Enter 'Workgroup:', 'HOMEFREE'
      Press 'Apply'
     Press 'OK'
    Select 'Yes'

5. Resource sharing

  Double click left mouse on desktop icon 'My Computer'
   Double click left mouse on local disk '(C:\)'
    Click right mouse button on folder to share
     Select 'Sharing and security...'
      Enable 'Share this folder'
     Press 'Apply'
    Press 'OK'
  Close 'C:\'

  Click right mouse button on taskbar 'Start' button
   Select 'Explorer'
    Scroll down 'Folders' windows
     Select 'Network Neighborhood'
      Press refresh key 'F5' a few times to contact available clients

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
