The Intel(R) Brookdale-G Chip Set Graphics Software Sightings Report is
intended for hardware system manufacturers. It contains outstanding
known issues for the Intel(R) Brookdale-G Chip Set Graphics driver.

Sightings Table Legend

Key             Description
===             ===========
Id              Sightings id as entered in the sightings database.
Title           Title of the sighting.
Severity        Importance of this sighting to the customer.
Status          The current stage or status of the bug.
New Sighting    A newly entered sighting into the database.
Investigation   The sighting is currently being investigated as a bug.
Confirmation    The sighting has been replicated, but has not yet been 
                identified as a bug.
Defect Prospect The sighting has undergone replication and been identified
                as a bug.
Assigned        The bug has been assigned to an engineer for fixing.
Postponed       The bug fix has been postponed. See the comments section to 
                see the reason for this.
3rd Party Issue The bug has been identified as an issue with some 3rd party
                software (e.g. application).
Resolved        The engineer has resolved the bug and is awaiting validation.
Verified        The bug has been verified as fixed by validation, but the issue
                is not yet closed until the customer receives and confirms the fix.
Risk            The degree of complexity of the bug fix.
Comment         The engineers comment for this sighting.

The screen goes blank, the monitor dies. You must reboot. This Defect occurs in Mode 1280x1024x(256,64K). This Defect is intermittent.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
