Notes for AX5095P Driver

This document contains notes for AX5095P Driver for Windows 95/98/NT.
Information in this document is more current than that in the manuals or
online Help.

Open this document in Windows Write, Microsoft Word, PE2 or another text
editor.

Software Installation Information
------------------------------------------------------------------------

To install this driver from Windows 95/98/NT, select Run and call the Setup
program from the Start Menu. If you are installing from drive A:

- From the Start menu, choose Run.
- In the Run dialog box, type A:SETUP and choose OK.
- Setup will detect diffrent operating system ,and install proper files. 

The installation program creates directory and copies files to it. You
may change the directory name but we recommend the default directory:
AX5095P. All of the associated files are as follows:

AX5095P.HLP			Online help of how to use device manager
AX5095P.DLL, AX5095P.LIB	Interface library files for AX5095P driver
				(developed with VC++ 6.0)
AX5095P.VXD			AX5095P virtual device driver for Windows 95/98
AX5095P.H			Header file for AX5095P driver
AX5095P.inf			Setup information file   
AX5095P.sys			AX5095P kernel driver for Windows NT 

Also you may find demo programs for analog input, analog output,
temperature measurement, digital input, digital output, counting
and DMA transfer. These demo programs are placed in the
following directory (as default):

If the directory you specified is c:> drive

For C demo programs:

C:\AX5095P\SAMPLES\C\AI    -> Software trigger analog input demo
		    \DMA   -> DMA analog input demo
		    \AO    -> Analog output demo
		    \DI    -> Digital input demo
		    \DO    -> Digital output demo
		    \EVCNT -> Event counting demo
            \Thermo-> Temperature measurement

For VB demo programs:

C:\AX5095P\SAMPLES\VB\AI    -> Software trigger analog input demo
		     \DMA   -> DMA analog input demo
		     \AO    -> Analog output demo
		     \DI    -> Digital input demo
		     \DO    -> Digital output demo

About AXMSG.OCX control

For VB users , we supply a ActiveX control AXMSG.OCX,it was used in DMA
demo programm,and you can use it in your own applications.

Installation instructions for AX5095P board:

1. Install AX5095P Ver. 1.0 driver for Windows 95/98/NT.

3. Turn off your system. Plug in your PCI board.

4. Turn on your system.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
