Features

1.  Added XR (extended Range) and AR (Adaptive Radio) features.  These features will be triggered when the XR or AR is enabled on the corresponding AR/XR capable routers.  AR/XR supported routers:  WGU624 & WGT624  (as 11/08/04).   (Note:  XR devices can now be recognized in the "Networks" tab )

2.  Compatible Windows XP Service Pack 2.  Fixed XP zero configuration compatible issues.  For Windows XP Home & XP Professional.

Installation Instructions

If Upgrading a Previous Installation

1.  Select Start > Program > WG311T Smart Wizard > Uninstall NETGEAR W311T Software. 
2.  Run the removal utility, and complete the instructions to complete the removal. 
3.  Run the v3.2.0 installer, which is WG311Tv320.exe. 
4.  Follow the instructions to complete the installation. 
5.  For Windows 98SE and Windows Me reboot the computer. 


If Doing a First Time Install

(DO NOT physically insert the WG311T adapter into your desktop yet)

1.  Unzip WG311Tv320.zip. 
2.  Run WG311Tv320.exe. 
3.  Follow the instructions to complete the installation. 
4.  Physically plug in the WG311T PCI Wireless adapter into the PCI slot in you desktop.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
