Known Issues

==========================================

General
----------

Restoring the Contacts database fails if the Contacts application is running on the handset. The following error message will be displayed if such a situation occurs:

"Restore complete: The restore has completed but did not successfully restore all of the files on your handset. Please ensure that you do not restart any applications on your handset while a restore is in progress.

Failed files:
c:\system\data\Contacts.cdb"

Therefore to ensure that the Contacts application is not running, turn off and turn on the handset prior to running the restore operation.

Windows XP Home/Pro
----------

No Known Issues.

Windows 2000 Pro
------------

No Known Issues.

Windows 98SE / ME
-------------

Attempting to run backup without first configuring backup using the Settings dialogs will bring up the backup configuration dialog. However, the default backup directory may be invalid and the user will not be able to continue. There is currently a workaround available. To use the correct default directory, change or remove the invalid value in the edit box and then click the Restore Default button. This will put the correct default backup directory into the edit control.
