NetWare RPL BOOTROM Installation
================================

Requirement:
   CNet CN100TX(F) 10/100 Fast Ethernet BOOTROM
   (to purchase a BOOTROM, see our web site http://www.cnet.com.tw)
   DOS ODI driver: A:\DOS\CN100F.COM, NET.CFG
   Novell Universal Client(VLM)

A. Prepare RPL boot disk image:
   1. Create a DOS boot disk
   2. Copy Novell VLM files and DOS ODI driver into disk
   3. edit config.sys on disk:

      LASTDRIVE=Z
      DEVICE=HIMEM.SYS
      DOS=HIGH

   4. edit autoexec.bat
      LSL
      CN100F
      IPXODI
      VLM
      F:
      LOGIN .....(your login procedure)

B. Load disk image on server
   1. Login as "admin"
   2. Read disk image from A: by "DOSGEN"
   3. Set the flag of NET$DOS.SYS to "Sh"
      FLAG NET$DOS.SYS +Sh /FO

C. Load RPL service on server
   1. Run "load rpl" on server console
   2. Bind rpl to the card exp:"bind rpl cn100f"

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
