About Upgrading to 33,600bps Upgrading to 33,600bps should result in the following: Up to 33,600bps speed when connecting to another 33,600bps modem The highest speed possible when connecting to a 28,800bps modem Faster connection negotiation If you do not see these improvements, it may be because of one or more of the following: You are using a noisy phone line that slows data transmissions You are connecting to a modem that is not 33,600bps or 28,800bps and V.34 capable U.S. Robotics Mobile Communications Corp. is committed to providing the best performing products possible. Flashing your modem in Windows 95 Before you use the Flash Utility with your PC Card, make sure that you are using an uninterrupted power supply. Your modem must be installed and recognized by your computer before you use the Flash Utility. 1. Click on the Windows 95 Start button and select Run 2. Type in the location of the 33.6 Upgrade file UPG336.EXE and press Enter 3. Follow the instructions ------------------------------------------------------------- 3. If your PC Card is not recognized by Windows 95 after using the Flash Utility If Windows 95 does not recognize your PC Card after using UPG336.EXE, go to the Modem icon in the Control Panel and remove the 28.8 modem definition. Then locate the WINDOWS \ INF directory, and delete the OEM?.INF file. Restart Windows 95 and follow the prompts to re-install your modem. --------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Flashing your modem in Windows 3.1x Before you use the Flash Utility with your PC Card, make sure that you are using an uninterrupted power supply. Your modem must be installed and recognized by your computer before you use the Flash Utility. 1. Go to the Program Manager and select File 2. Select Run 3. Type in the location of the 33.6 upgrade file PFWIN.EXE and press Enter 4. Follow the instructions --------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Flashing your modem in Microsoft NT 3.51 Before you use the Flash Utility with your PC Card, make sure that you are using an uninterrupted power supply. Your modem must be installed and recognized by your computer before you use the Flash Utility. 1. Go to the Program Manager and select File 2. Select Run 3. Type in the location of the 33.6 upgrade file PFWIN.EXE and press Enter 4. Follow the instructions --------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Flashing your modem in Microsoft NT 4.0 Before you use the Flash Utility with your PC Card, make sure that you are using an uninterrupted power supply. Your modem must be installed and recognized by your computer before you use the Flash Utility. To use the Flash Utility with Microsoft NT 4.0, 1. Click on Start 2. Select Run 3. In the dialog box, type in the location of the 33.6 upgrade file PFWIN.EXE and press Enter 4. Follow the prompts to complete the upgrade. Be sure to restart your computer in Microsoft NT 4.0 after using the Flash Utility --------------------------------------------------------------- 7. If your PC Card is not recognized after using the Flash Utility With any computer operating system, if your modem is no longer recognized after using the 33.6 Flash Utility, contact our Customer Support Organization at (801) 320-7777. ------------------------------------------------------------- 8. OS/2 Using the 33.6 Flash Upgrade is not supported with any version of OS/2.Flashing your modem with any version of OS/2 may damage it.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
