Overview This HostnamePatch_2_1_3_63.jar file is released for installation only on a FlowPort server running FlowPort 2.1.1 SP2 (a.k.a. version 2.1.3.63). II. Fixes on this patch * fp213p08 fixes fixes the recognition of a fully qualified hostname that starts with a numerical character. III. Patches Superseded * No other version of this patch has been released for FlowPort 2.1.1 SP2 . IV. Distribution * This patch should be installed on FlowPort servers running SP2 and experiencing the problem described. Installing this patch will not affect the normal processing of FlowPort, thus, it could be installed on a server that has not experienced the described problems. V. Installation of Patch These instructions assume that this FlowPort Server is running FlowPort SP2 (v2.1.3.63) software and that the Patch Manager. (If you have not installed the PatchManager, follow item VII, "PatchManager installation steps" below. * Copy the HostnamePatch_2_1_3_63.jar to the FlowPort/PROGRAM/jars directory * Logon to FlowPort as admin * Click on the light blue APPLICATIONS tab * Click on the "Patch Manager" link under "Configure Applications and Services" * Click on the "Install New Patch" link * Type HostnamePatch_2_1_3_63.jar after .../PROGRAM/jars/ (please watch the caps). The entry should look like: .../PROGRAM/jars/ HostnamePatch_2_1_3_63.jar * Click on "Install Application or Service" * The bold message "Configuration Done" should come up." * Click on the "Patch Manager" link under "Configure Applications and Services", to confirm the patch is installed. * Verify a new entry for "HostnamePatch_2_1_3_63.jar" is listed under Manage Patches. * Click on light blue RESTART tab * Click on the Restart button * Allow for normal FlowPort startup sequence and return to normal FlowPort usage. VI. Uninstalling this patch If you should experience problems and would like to withdraw this patch, please follow these steps: * Logon to FlowPort as admin * Click on the light blue APPLICATIONS tab * Click on the "Patch Manager" link under "Configure Applications and Services" * Look under "Patch Name" for HostnamePatch_2_1_3_63.jar * Click under the X column, just to the left of HostnamePatch_2_1_3_63.jar. * Click on the "Uninstall Selected Patches" button. * A warning message asking you to confirm the uninstalling of this patch will pop up. Click on "OK" * You will see the below message: Uninstalling patch HostnamePatch_2_1_3_63 Deleting patch HostnamePatch_2_1_3_63 1 Patches removed. Please reboot FlowPort unless you were so instructed not to. * Click on Done * Click on light blue RESTART tab * Click on the Restart button * Allow for normal FlowPort startup sequence and return to normal FlowPort usage. VII. PatchManager installation steps * Insert the FlowPort CD on you server's CDROM * Browse the CDROM * Go to the 'bin\Utils' directory * Copy the 'PatchManager.jar' file to the FlowPort/ImportJars directory * Open the web browser and logon to FlowPort as admin * Click on the 'APPLICATIONS' light blue tab * Click on 'Install new Application or Service' * - Delete the '/PROGRAM/jars/' part of the entry and replace it with '/ImportJars/' * Type 'PatchManager.jar' after '/ImportJars/' The entry should look like: .../ImportJars/PatchManager.jar * Click on 'Install Application or Service' button * The bold message 'Configuration' should come up together with 'Installed service Patch Manager. Configure the service' * Click on 'Configure the service' to install or uninstall a patch ====================================================================== This patch is provided to resolve documented issue(s). After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
