UPGRADING HARMONY AP CONTROLLERS

The ZIP file, APC21.ZIP, contains the Harmony image file, APC.IMG.
This image file contains the latest firmware version for the Harmony AP Controller.

If you're upgrading an AP Controller from firmware version 2.0 to 2.1, see Section A
for instructions. If you're upgrading AP Controllers from firmware version 1.x to 2.1,
see Section B for instructions. You can determine an AP Controller's current firmware
within its Status screen.

SECTION A: UPGRADING FROM 2.0 TO 2.1

Follow these steps to upgrade a Harmony System from firmware version 2.0 to 2.1:

1. Download the file APC21.ZIP to a folder on a network computer.

2. Use an Unzip utility to extract out the image file, APC.IMG, from APC21.ZIP.

3. Access an AP Controller's Web browser interface and click the Upgrade tab.

4. Enter the location of APC.IMG and click <Upgrade with selected file>.

5. Be patient while the AP Controller is upgraded; it may take 1 to 2 minutes.
Also, if your Harmony System includes multiple AP Controllers, the other AP Controllers
will be upgraded to version 2.1 automatically.

6. After the upgrade is complete, click the Status tab for each AP Controller on the
Harmony System to confirm that it is now using firmware version 2.1.

SECTION B: UPGRADING FROM 1.x to 2.1

Follow these steps to upgrade a Harmony System from firmware version 1.0 or 1.1 to
firmware version 2.1:

========================================================================================
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have recently purchased Harmony 802.11a Access Points, upgrade
your network's Harmony AP Controllers first to version 2.1 before installing the 802.11a
Access Points.
========================================================================================

NOTE: If the AP Controllers did not upgrade to version 2.1 or if you encounter a
problem during the upgrade (for example, if the upgrade fails after 5 minutes),
follow these steps:

	a) Shut down all Harmony Access Points on the network.
	b) Shut down all Harmony AP Controllers on the network.
	c) Turn on one AP Controller and upgrade it to version 2.1 using its Web browser
