All Rights Reserved ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EXECUTION FROM FLOPPY (Recommended) For best results, it is recommended that the user execute the System Setup utility from a floppy diskette. Place the bootable diskette in the 'a:' drive and restart the system (the system should boot from the 'a:' drive.) Once the system boots, a virtual drive will be created and the System Setup Utility files will be copied onto it and invoked. INSTALLATION TO HARD DISK To install the System Setup Utility to a hard disk, insert the diskette into your a: drive and CD to your target directory. Copy all the files from the SSU diskettes into your target directory. Invoke the SSUIMAGE.EXE file from the target direcory. EXECUTION FROM HARD DISK To execute the System Setup Utility from the hard disk, install the System Setup Utility files (see above) and invoke the SSU.BAT. Note that the System Setup Utility will not function properly in a DOS window under another operating system. OTHER The System Setup Utility can also be installed/executed from the Software Kit CD-ROM shipped with each platform. TIPS FOR CONSOLE REDIRECTION To log in from a remote location, dial into the server (which should be powered on & connected to a telephone line via a modem) using a communication software of your choice. Once logged in, run the following command from the DOS prompt: SSU /t and use accelerator key combination of Ctrl + Character keys instead of Alt + Character keys to navigate the SSU. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
