PCMCIA PC Card Ehernet Adapter Packet Driver version 2.15

This driver is written based on the document of PC/TCP packet driver
specification released by FTP Software, Inc. In this readme file we
will tell you how to install your driver to drive your PCMCIA Ethernet
Card.

To install the driver, just key in the command line in the format as
shown below:

     Usage: PC400FP [-n] [-d] [-w] [-u] [-h] <SW_int_no> [HW_int_no] [io_base] [socket_no]

     where
       1. [-n] [-d] [-w] [-h] [-u] parameters are optional.
          -d -- Delayed initialization.  Used for diskless booting.
          -n -- NetWare conversion.  Converts 802.3 packets into 8137 packets.
          -w -- Windows hack, obsoleted by winpkt.
          -h -- Help to show the usage message.
          -u -- Unload the driver.
       2. <SW_int_no> parameter is the softwrae interrupt number and is NEEDED.
       3  <SW_int_no> parameter should be in the range 0x60 to 0x80.
       4. the parameters after <SW_int_no> are optional and MUST be given
          in the order [HW_int_no] [io_base] [socket_no] if given.
       5. if no optional parameters given, the default value is as below:
                   HW_int_no = 0x5
                   io_base = 0x300
                   socket_no = 0x0
       6. the socket number start from 0.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
