The installation of resource download software is included two procedures.

Procedure 1 : USB driver installation 

  For Windows 2000, Windows XP
   
  Step 1: Plug in the included USB adaptor cable into the PC.
  Step 2: New hardware detection text prompts will be displayed on your PC if the USB adaptor has been detected.
  Step 3: Select the option "Install the software automatically ( Recommended )"
          This will set the new driver searching location to CD-ROM drive.
  Step 4: The driver named "USB High Speed Serial Converter" will be recognized and installed by the PC.
  Step 5: Another driver "USB Serial Port" will be installed by similiar procedure. That is ,
          Select the option "Install the software automatically ( Recommended )" again
  Step 6: The driver named "USB Serial Port" will be recognized and installed by the PC.
  Step 7: USB driver installation is completed.

  For Windows 98
   
  Step 1: Plug in the included USB adaptor cable into the PC.
  Step 2: New hardware detection text prompts will be displayed on your PC if the USB adaptor has been detected.
  Step 3: Select the option "Search for the best driver for your device" in the Add New Hardware Wizard.
  Step 4: Select the new driver searching location to CD-ROM drive.
  Step 5: The driver named "USB High Speed Serial Converter" and "USB Serial Port" will be recognized by the PC.
  Step 6: USB driver installation is completed.

Procedure 2 : Resource download software installation

  Step 1: Click on the resource download program setup button.
  Step 2: Select the desired directory for software installation.
  Step 3: Resource download software installation is completed.


Finally, please go to the program menu and click the ResourceDL button to execute the program.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
