******************************************************************* ARTIST NetVision Display Driver for Windows 95/98 Release Note - 28 Aug 1998 ******************************************************************* 3GASETUP.DLL - 3GA Settings Property Sheet Panel This update fixes a minor bug with the Apply button (occasionally, after multiple uses, it would go inactive when it should have been active). More importantly, you can now specify default sync polarity settings for each mode listed in 3GAINIT.MON. The way this works is as follows. Each entry in 3GAINIT.MON can optionally contain a SyncOnGreen line. If the line exists, then it contains a four digit hex value. The four digits are interpreted as follows: Digit 1 - If 1, use other three digits for default values Digit 2 - Default value for vertical polarity Digit 3 - Default value for horizontal polarity Digit 4 - Default value for sync on green Each digit should be either a 0 or 1. Existing entries have a first digit of 0, which means "don't set any default values for sync polarity". However, by editing the SyncOnGreen value for selected modes, you can force certain polarity settings. In general, if you are forcing polarity modes for one mode, you should force them for all modes, since otherwise, one mode might set defaults, and switching to another mode (which had no defaults defined) would not cause them to be reset properly. Enough theory; here are some examples: SyncOnGreen.....: 0 Old style, i.e. no default sync values SyncOnGreen.....: 1000 vsync = no, hsync = no, sog = no. SyncOnGreen.....: 1100 vsync = yes, hsync = no, sog = no. SyncOnGreen.....: 1111 vsync = yes, hsync = yes, sog = yes SyncOnGreen.....: 1010 vsync = no, hsync = yes, sog = no In all cases, these are only the defaults. When the user picks the mode from the display panel, these defaults will be loaded. However, the user can override them in the Advanced settings if desired. Note that the settings don't take effect until the Apply button is pressed, so if you go into Advanced Settings before then, you will see the current polarity values, and not necessarily the ones just chosen. This is because the Advanced dialog box always shows the polarity settings chosen for the display you are currently looking at.Download Driver Pack
