This should help resolve problems or any unusual situations. Install/Uninstall Problems ========================== Uninstall Problem ================= If the WorkCentre Pro PCL printer properties dialog is open and uninstall is performed, the software will not be completely removed. You will have to install the WorkCentre Pro PCL software and then uninstall with the dialog closed. Default Paper Size & Units of Measure ===================================== The default paper (Letter or A4) and image shift units of measure (Inch or MM) is based upon the country code set for the Windows operating system. The country code can be set from the Windows "Control Panel" / "Regional Settings". For correct operation, the country code must be set before installing the WorkCentre Pro PCL printer software. If the country code changes after installation, the printer software must be installed again. The following table describes the defaults for each language. In addtion, select "Page Protection" in "Device Options" tab of printer properties dialog. - If you encounter printing problems with Windows PCL6 printer driver, please try to use Windows PCL5e printer driver to see if the problem clears. Printing problems ================= - When printing light colored lines and/or thin lines in your document the lines may not be visible. Please change the color of the line to a darker color or make the line thicker and try printing again. - When using PCL 6 Watermarks, if the odd-numbered page original is printed duplex, the Watermark will be printed on the blank page of the last paper. - Printing in Adobe Acrobat Reader may result in compressed print. In this case perform the following: Open the printer properties: Select the Image Quality tab, set the Graphics mode to "Raster" and set the Text Mode to "As Bitmaps". In addition, select the Device Options tab and set to use "Use Device Fonts" - Print to file: To print to file, change the port to FILE: for the port assigned to the printer. Do not select the application "Print to file" option.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
