Thank you for choosing the Xerox Phaser 3400 printer. 

Please read this information before using the Xerox Phaser 3400 printer.
If user use this printer with TCP/IP protocol, IP address should be set in printer. 
This program is for setting IP address. It will help for user to easily set IP address.

This Readme file contains the following four sections:

     1) To prepare before using this program

1) To prepare before using this program :

   a) This program supports Windows OS. (95/98/ME/NT/2000) 
   b) In order to use this program, you have to install TCP/IP protocol in your PC.
   
2) To Use this program :
------------------------
   a) Turn on the Xerox Phaser 3400 printer.	
   b) Click this program. (Start -> Program -> XeroxSetIP -> SetIP) 
   c) Type 3400 printer's MAC address.
   d) Type IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway.
   e) Click Update button. 
   f) If it successfully is completed, the Phaser 3400 printer prints NetWork Test Page.
      You can confirm IP address on NetWork Test Page.
   
3) Troubleshooting :
-------------------- 
   >>> It happened error message. 
   a) Please check Phaser 3400 printer's NIC. It must be ON (upper LED) and blinking (lower LED).
   b) Please turn off and on the printer. And then, please try from step 2-c) to step 2-e) again.
   c) If it isn't solved, please try again on same network. This program uses unicasting for setting IP address.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
