RC2 Creative Dxr2 *FIX* A few of you have noticed that the drivers for the Creative Dxr2 card have been dropped from RC2. Copy (and overwrite) the included DVD.INF file to your \Winnt\inf directory. Expand the rest of the files to a temporary directory. I will use c:\DVD in this example. Go to Control Panels->System->Device Manager->Other Devices->Multimedia device. Select properties, driver, update driver. The wizard will appear. Select the "Next" button, followed by "Search for a suitable driver..." Click "Next", and check only the "Specify a location" box. Click "Next" and type in \Winnt\Inf. You will be prompted for your RC2 CD. When you reach an prompt regarding a location for files not present on the RC2 CD, put C:\DVD. This fix will only work on the Dxr2. Don't ask me questions about Dxr3 or any other card for that matter. Don't ask me questions about the future of Dxr2 and development on the Win2K platform.
