Thank you for downloading distribution version of Softoholic OGL ActiveX Control.

The control will allow you to use OpenGL implementation for Windows from development tools which support ActiveX controls like Visual Basic, Delphi, Microsoft Access etc.

This file contains following files:
opengl.ocx version 1.0.2.2
regsvr32.exe - use this file to manualy register the control
readme.txt - this file

Please note that the control has dependency on following files:
opengl32.exe, glu32.exe
Microsoft's implementation of OpenGL. If you are using Windows NT those files are part of operating system. Also latest version of Windows 95 includes both files. If you are using Windows 95 and you do not have OpenGL you can download them from http:\\www.softoholic.bc.ca\opengl\down.htm page.

The control is developed with Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0 and above files are Microsoft Foundation Classes support. You can download those files from http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vc/mfc42.cab. Internet Explorer will automaticaly install and register all three files.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
