Readme for ATAPI CD-ROM Drives with all current versions of DOS and
Windows 3.X.
================================================================
To install this device driver for the DOS\Windows operating systems,
please follow this procedure:

Note: If you have DOS 5.0 or a previous version of DOS, you will
need to obtain a copy of the Microsoft file: "MSCDEX.EXE."

DOS version 6.0 or higher will display a "Wrong DOS Version"
error if you use the MSCDEX.EXE file from a lower version of
DOS. Please insure that you use the correct version of
MSCDEX.EXE with your DOS operating system.

The MSCDEX.EXE file is used in AUTOEXEC.BAT to assign a drive
letter for your CD-ROM drive

To install the ATAPI device driver, type the following command at
the C:\temp prompt:

C:\temp> SETUP.BAT

Please accept the default responses to questions in the SETUP.BAT
installation procedure. SETUP.BAT will create a DEV
directory and copy TAISATAP.SYS to it. Setup will also
create a BIN directory and copy MSCDEX.EXE to it. Next,
Setup will modify the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files to
include the required lines for the CD-ROM drive.

Reboot the system, and the CD-ROM should be recognized and will be
assigned the next logical drive letter after your hard
drive(s).
