Chapter 1
How to upgrade your 56K modem to V90 standard in Windows 95
operating system?
1. Click Start, point to programs, click MS-DOS prompt.
2. Insert labeled "56K Internal/External modem driver,V90/K56Flex
program" floppy diskette to a 3.5" floppy drive.
(ex. drive A)
3. At the A: prompt, type: LB.BAT [Enter]
4. The modem BIOS Loader menu is presented.
5. Highlight Internal V.90 [Enter]
6. Highlight Load BIOS [Enter]
7. You will see programming BIOS windows pops up, press Enter
to program.
8. Start to flash the BIOS. Please don't touch any key at this time.
9. You will see <<Program finished !! The new Bios is
V2.083.B1-56K_DLP>> windows.
10.Press Enter, return to the BIOS Loader Windows. Choose Exit [Enter]
11.You will be asked to "Exit LB.EXE UTIL?" Press "Y".
12.It will bring you back to A:/ Prompt and type EXIT to return to
Windows 95.
13.Click Start, click Shut Down, choose restart the computer and
click on YES to reboot the system.
How to return to K56Flex BIOS?
a. Follow Steps 1 to 4 above.
b. Highlight Internal K56Flex[Enter]
c. Follow Steps 6 to 13 above.

How to upgrade your 56K internal modem to V90 standard in Windows 95
/Windows 98 operating system?
1. Insert labeled "56K internal/external Modem Driver" floppy diskette
to a 3.5" floppy drive.(ex. drive A)
2. Click "Start" , select "Run" "Browse" A:\win95\flashv90.exe
3. "MODEM DETECT" windows pops up.
4. You will see "MODEM FLASH MEMORY LOADER" windows. Click "Load Now".
5. "FLASH LOADER NOTICE" windows appears. Click "OK" to load the program.
6. You will see a "LOADING FLASH MEMORY" windows. Please wait!!
7. Receive "LOAD SUCCESSFUL" notice. The new ID = V2.083.B1-K56_DLP. then
click "Close".
8. Click "Close" again on "MODEM FLASH MEMORY LOADER" windows.
9. Click "Start",click "Shot down",choose reatart the computer to reboot
the system.
How to return to K56Flex BIOS?
a. Follow Steps 1 to 2 above.
b. Double click "flashk56.exe" ,"MODEM DETECT" windows pops up
c. Follow Steps 4 to 8 above.

@ Please make sure the modem does work before you run this program !!

Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
