SyncI/O Installation

1. Remove your STUDI/O card from your computer.

2. Connect the SyncI/O Sync back plate to your STUDI/O card with the
   supplied ribbon cable.  The cable runs from the header labeled 
   "To StudI/O" on the SyncI/O board to the header labeled "ADAT SYNC"
   on the STUDI/O card.  Pin 1 is indicated by a triangle printed on
   the circuit boards near both headers.

3. Replace the STUDI/O board in your computer and turn it on.

4. After Windows95 boots, double click on the supplied "syncio.reg" file.
   This will cause the necessary registry setiings to be place in your 
   computer's registry.

5. Reboot your computer again.

6. Now you may enable the MTC port in the settings tab of your STUDI/O
   board's Properties page, if so desired.  This is accessable through the 
   device manager.

7. If you have more than one STUDI/O installed in your computer, disable
   the MTC port on all but one device.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
