Here is the instruction for how to upgrade Gigabyte Wireless Lan Card driver/utility:

1. Download and extract the driver set onto a local folder which will then create two subfolders after extraction, Driver and Utility.
2. Remove previously installed Gigabyte Utility if exists. For Windows XP: Start menu -> All Programs -> Gigabyte Wireless Network Adapters-> Gigabyte Wireless LAN Card -> Uninstall Wireless LAN Card. (Click Yes when prompted to uninstall Driver and Utility.)
3. Restart the computer after the uninstall process finishes successfully.
4. Click Cancel button when prompted for New Hardware Found.
5. Run "SETUP.EXE" from the "Utility" folder after Windows is loaded.
6. Restart the computer again after the installation is finished.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
