#* Description: String definitions for DEINSTALL utilities
#* Strings are divided into 'tables', each table roughly
#* corresponds to a window in the program. Each string
#* in a table is defined in the following format:
#*
#* program, table, row, text_string
#*
#* Strings can be enclosed in double quotes.
#* Comment lines must start with a pound sign.
#* All leading blanks are stripped off (use quotes if needed)

# TABLE 0: This table is always HELP. All strings are concatenated into
# one long string. Section heading is delimited in square brackets and
# the row number must match corresponding TABLE number. For example
# the "Copyright" window is in table number 2, thus help section for this
# window must be row 2. Row numbers, for text other then section name,
# are ignored, but must be non-zero.

1,0, 3, [PCM De-Installation Utility]
1,0,99, This program is a de-installation utility which allows you
1,0,99, to remove from your system drivers loaded by
1,0,99, the PCM INSTALL.EXE utility, and to restore system files
1,0,99, CONFIG.SYS, SYSTEM.INI, AUTOEXEC.BAT, WIN.INI, PROGMAN.INI
1,0,99, (sections modified
1,0,99, by INSTALL.EXE).
1,0,99,
1,0,99, This program can also be used to assist you
1,0,99, in disabling PC Card programs from other vendors. When used to
1,0,99, disable other versions of PCM, this program will identify
1,0,99, system files which need to be changed, and indicate changes needed.
1,0,99, If instructed to do so, DEINSTALL will also make the indicated
1,0,99, changes.
1,0,99,
1,0,99, The only files modified by this utility are
1,0,99, CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT, WIN.INI, SYSTEM.INI, and
1,0,99, PROGMAN.INI. No other files are modified, and often only
1,0,99, one or two of the files listed above are changed. Before
1,0,99, any changes are made, changes are first displayed, and at
1,0,99, that point you can choose to accept or reject the suggested
1,0,99, changes. If you choose to accept the changes, and later on
1,0,99, determine that you need the original file, you can always
1,0,99, recover the original file from a backup file. The name
1,0,99, of the backup file has a same name as the original file,
1,0,99, with a three digit extension. Each time a file is modified,
1,0,99, program will notify you where the backup was saved.
1,0,99,
1,0,99, WARNING!
1,0,99,
1,0,99, THERE ARE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THIS PROGRAM MAY FAIL TO
1,0,99, UPDATE YOUR SYSTEM FILES PROPERLY. PLEASE READ YOUR MANUAL
1,0,99, CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING.
1,0,99,
1,0,99, CREATING BOOTABLE DISKETTE. It may be advisable to create
1,0,99, a bootable diskette. Make sure that you have a bootable
1,0,99, diskette available, so that, in the unlikely event that
1,0,99, problems occur due to conflict with unsupported utilities,
1,0,99, you can re-boot your system.
1,0,99,
1,0,99, POINT ENABLERS. Some PC Cards include custom programs
1,0,99, used to configure that particular card. Such utilities,
1,0,99, specific to your PC Card, are not easily detectable and
1,0,99, will not be disabled by this program.
1,0,99,
1,0,99, DISABLING OTHER PRODUCTS. Since we do not have access to
1,0,99, all versions of utilities from other manufacturers, it may
1,0,99, not always be possible to completely reverse changes made by
1,0,99, these utilities. However, an attempt will be made to
1,0,99, disable PC Card drivers, by updating your system files.

1,0, 5, [Comment Out or Remove]
1,0,99, This program disables PC Card utilities by searching for
1,0,99, parameter lines in your system files CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT,
1,0,99, WIN.INI, SYSTEM.INI and PROGMAN.INI. To disable utilities
1,0,99, some of these parameter lines must be removed. This can be
1,0,99, done by either placing a comment line in front of each
1,0,99, such parameter line, or by deleting such parameter line
1,0,99, from the file. Parameter lines are commented out by default.
1,0,99, "By selecting the 'Remove Lines' option, these parameters
1,0,99, will be deleted."

1,0, 8, [Search Failed]
1,0,99, This program disables PC Card utilities by searching for
1,0,99, parameter lines in your system file CONFIG.SYS. If no recognized
1,0,99, driver names are found in CONFIG.SYS, then the program is not able
1,0,99, to disable PC Card utilities. This could happen when drivers have
1,0,99, not been installed, drivers have been renamed, or drivers have not been
1,0,99, available at the time this utility has been completed. Please read
1,0,99, your manual for general information on how to remove drivers from
1,0,99, your system files, then manually disable the drivers.

1,0,11, [Is Windows Installed]
1,0,99, In order for PC Card utilities to operate in Windows environment
1,0,99, it is often necessary to load additional windows specific drivers.
1,0,99, When PC Card utilities are being disabled, these drivers must also be
1,0,99, disabled. If you are using Windows, and PC Card utilities have been
1,0,99, loaded, select "Yes" option. Use this option even if you are not
1,0,99, sure, but do have Windows installed. In such case, you also
1,0,99, need to specify which directory your windows is loaded into.
1,0,99, It is the drive and directory which contains the Windows system
1,0,99, files SYSTEM.INI and WIN.INI.

1,0,15, [View Changes]
1,0,99 DEINSTALL has completed the scan of your system files and is ready
1,0,99 to make the required modifications. Before the modifications are
1,0,99 made, you can view the intended modifications. If you choose
1,0,99 to do so, each file is displayed so that you can view the
1,0,99 intended changes before they are made. After viewing each
1,0,99 screen you can accept the changes made to that screen by pressing
1,0,99 <ENTER> and viewing the next screen. You can reject the changes
1,0,99 by pressing <ESC>. You can also terminate the program by
1,0,99 pressing the F3 key. This will reject all changes made by the PCM
1,0,99 DeInstallation utility, as PCM cannot be installed unless these
1,0,99 files are disabled. If you elect to accept the changes, a
1,0,99 backup file will be created (e.g. CONFIG.100), and the original file
1,0,99 will be modified as indicated. If you elect to reject the changes,
1,0,99 then the original file will remain unchanged, and a new file will
1,0,99 be created (e.g. CONFIG.100), which will contain the modified data.

1,0,16, [View Changes]
#...same as 15

1,0,17, [Changes Made]
1,0,99, Your system files have been processed, and all modifications have
1,0,99, been made as requested. This screen contains a summary of which
1,0,99, system files have been modified, and the names of the backup files
1,0,99, created.

1,0,19, [Re-Boot]
1,0,99, Changes in your system files do not take effect until
1,0,99, your system has been re-booted. For example, DOS drivers
1,0,99, remain operational in your memory, even though their names
1,0,99, have been removed from the CONFIG.SYS file. In order to
1,0,99, remove these drivers from the memory, the system needs to be
1,0,99, re-booted. To complete the deinstallation process, please
1,0,99, reboot your system after returning to the DOS prompt.

1,0,30, [Current vs All Configurations]
1,0,99, DOS 6.0 and later allows you to have multiple boot configurations
1,0,99, in your CONFIG.SYS files. All such configurations are listed
1,0,99, in the MENU section (as MENUITEM=config section name), and each
1,0,99, boot configuration is in a separate section. If you elect
1,0,99, to disable drivers only in current configurations, then
1,0,99, only one configuration section will be modified. All other
1,0,99, sections will be left unchanged. This will allow you to
1,0,99, to boot with different versions of PCM, by keeping
1,0,99, different boot configuration sections.
1,0,99,
1,0,99, WARNING! If you are running Windows, you must disable drivers
1,0,99, in ALL boot configurations. This is because Windows currently
1,0,99, does not allow you to specify different windows drivers for
1,0,99, different boot configuration. Same Windows driver is used in
1,0,99, all boot configurations. Thus, if the PCM utility, you are
1,0,99, disabling, comes with special Windows drivers, then you should
1,0,99, select the 'Disable All Configurations' option.
