Installation instructions for Adding the
6x CD ROM Drivers for the Extensa 570CD
and 570CDT models.

File listing that these instructions will
be dealing with:

KMEATAPI.SYS
MSCDEX.EXE  <----    This is provided by MS-DOS.
CDPLAYER.EXE

The files that will be modified are:
Config.sys
Autoexec.bat
System.ini


Instructions:

Make a directory called CDPLAYER in the root of the Hard disk drive.
        MD C:\CDPLAYER
Change to that directory.
        CD \CDPLAYER
Now the prompt should be "C:\CDPLAYER"

Copy the contents of this floppy disk into the directory.
        COPY A:\*.* C:\CDPLAYER

Then Add this line to the C:\CONFIG.SYS file using Edit:
        DEVICE=C:\CDPLAYER\KMEATAPI.SYS /D:KMEdrive /P:P /O:S
And then add this line to the C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT file using Edit:
        LH C:\DOS\MSCDEX.EXE /D:KMEdrive /M:10 /K
Add this line to the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.INI also using Edit
After the "[386Enh]" section add the line:
        VirtualHdIRQ=off

Then reboot the computer.


To Add the CDPLAYER application inside Windows:
        Inside the group that you want to add the Icon, Click
        File then New.  
        In the box select "Program Item" and click OK.
        In the Dialog box enter this information :
           Description:  "Audio CD Player"
           Command Line: "C:\CDPLAYER\CDPLAYER.EXE"
           Working Dir:  "C:\CDPLAYER"
        Then press Enter.

You can now start playing Audio CD's with the Audio CD Player Utility.
